Warmth and color on a gray day with Winter Storm Warnings out! What could be more cozy? We got those deliciously lofty heavy wool blankets pressed and ready for delivery to @battenkillfibers ; wove up several more color variations for the grey and cream warp of blankets on Nate, and color variations on a fancy tencel demonstration warp for the next Open House Dec 14-15. The grey, white and color blankets, and a few of the tencel scarves will be available at the last open house! Make plans to drop by and see them and all the other treasures from @svtfarm , @bluepepperfarm and @hurricanehillri ...everything from gloves and hats, to scarves, wraps, ponchos, and blankets. You won't be cold with our offerings!

Back to work after the Thanksgiving Open House las

Back to work after the Thanksgiving Open House last weekend. It's always a treat to see old friends, show off the new studio, and see how much people love our work! But this work is always satisfying at bottom, under the momentary frustrations. But the second Open House can go on your calendar if you want to come over Sat and Sunday, Dec 14-15, 10-5 both days. We might have new blankets and scarves to show!
We will have more gloves and hats from @battenkillfibers, blankets, ponchos and sheepskins from @svtfarm , wraps and scarves from @hurricanehillri and @bluepepperfarm beautiful stitched blankets in 2 color ways. Plus our own studio goodies like zippered bags, scarves, wraps and the wool-hemp ponchos!

Day Two of the #shirtfactorygf Holiday Open House! Cold but sunny forecast and all kinds of artisan made treasures to be found!

We had a lovely bunch of visitors yesterday in the studio here at 182 Maple St Glens Falls, including @kayfibers !! Usually I expect to send scarves out the door but Kay brought me a gorgeous botanical dyed silk scarf...her own glorious work! Marigolds and cosmos(?) from her dye garden! What a treat! I dressed up today just to do it justice!

Come by and take a peak at our offerings from @battenkillfibers @svtfarm @hurricanehillri @bluepepperfarm Beautiful wooly goodness for the upcoming winter...you can find me across the parking lot from Rock Hill Bakehouse, next to the Community Action Building. My porch is on the parking lot side of the old Higgins Candy building...the Shirt Factory's latest addition to its collection of buildings....this glorious creative community here in Glens Falls!
