Daily updates: that stripey beam for @lisarickenba

Daily updates: that stripey beam for @lisarickenbaugh is fully threaded; that gorgeous dark herringbone is weaving up beautifully @carriechalmersdesign ; 16 lbs or so of #eastfriesian #wool got washed and prepped for indigo dyeing next week @willowpondsheepfarm ; and the 60 inch power loom, Nate, is ready for its cotton test warp of 4 cotton throws in a pale pink-lavendar waffle weave pattern...8 yards of cotton and then production wools are up next! 4 big looms in action doubles my capacity! Exciting!

First of the week updates on progress...@carriechalmersdesign gorgeous sewing yardage is ready for weaving on my older PDL, Stella; while a fancy striped beam is almost ready for the newer PDL, Montana, @lisarickenbaugh It should get mounted on the loom by noon tomorrow to start threading. And, Nate, the second big power loom, is ready for a test warp with compressed air hooked up, and the computer up and running.

A long warp is just loooong, and this one is 70 yards. It can feel an endless round of pirns full; pirns empty; pirns full; pirns empty.... The box to the right of the loom with its pirns full; the bucket on the floor to the left of the loom with its empty pirns. I filled all my pirns last night, and they will be all empty in the next 24 hours! But the blankets are nice, aren't they!?!! If I get bored, I just go spend a minute petting the wool. Perks me right up! #studiolife. #hvtproject #weaversofinstagram #wool

The first dozen are finished and pressed for @bluepepperfarm ; @carriechalmersdesign sewing yardage, a gorgeous dark olive Border Leicester Romney blend in being threaded onto my older PDL "Stella", and the two new looms are moving through their test runs...short cotton warps for napkins and dish towels designed to find all the little adjustments and modifications that allow a loom and it's weaver a long and sustainable partnership. I must admit I'm anxious to get that cotton replaced with good natural, local wools but it doesn't pay to skip the shakedown warps on new looms. #happyweaving
